Profile of Director

Currently, Rev. Professor Daniel Jacobson Antwi is the Director of Presbyterian Interfaith Research and Resource Centre at Haatso, Accra. He also teaches New Testament Studies at the University of Ghana Department for the study of Religions, Legon.
Rev. Prof. Antwi has been an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana since 1972, and pastured a number of congregations, including Official Town, Dzorwulu, North Kanashie and Accra Ridge Church, as well as serving as the  Presbyterian Chaplain at the University of Ghana.                                                                                                                         

For eight years, (2002-2010),  Prof. Antwi served as Ecumenical missionary under the auspices of  the Council for World Mission (CWM) in Jamaica, West Indies. As the first Ghanaian from the Presbyterian Church of Ghana to work with the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, he was instrumental in the establishment of the International University of the Caribbean in Kingston, Jamaica. He was the Dean of the Faculty of Theology of that University while working concurrently as Theological Education Consultant at the United Theological College of the West Indies, (UTCWI), University of the West Indies, Kingston, Jamaica, where he taught courses in Biblical Studies Missions, and Pastoral Care and Counselling. 

Formerly, he was the President of Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon, Ghana, where he also taught, among other disciplines, New Testament Studies and African Christian Origins.
He holds degrees in Theology from University of London; Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon, Ghana; and The University of Aberdeen, Scotland. Prof. Antwi  was visiting Professor of New Testament and Christian Presence in Africa at Union Theological Seminary, Richmond, VA; University of Dubuque Theological Seminary, Dubuque, IA; and Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur, GA. He has served as Visiting Professor at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, Pittsburgh, PA. His main research and teaching interests include areas of Biblical Theology and Christian Mission, especially South-South Mission, and Transformational Leadership. He has researched into the legacy of the Jamaican Moravian Church to the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, and published widely, including  African – Caribbean Christian Identity, the African factor in Christian Mission to Africa; Christian Religious Studies - Textbook for Senior Secondary Schools in Ghana). 

He has authored numerous articles and essays, as well as contributions to books and various international journals.

With a background in Pastoral Care and Counselling, he teaches at the University of Development Studies in Tamale, Northern Ghana and has recently been appointed Dean of X at the Wa Campus.

Rev. Alice Kyei-Anti
Has been ministering in the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for 42 years as a lay then ordained person. She has had a varied career, and served 10 years General Secretary of the Presbyterian Women’s Fellowship. She was active in the pioneering movement for the ordination of women in the Presbyterian Church and recently completed her tenure as the first-ever woman elected to be a Presbytery Chairperson.
